KAOS-FM started as “prank-call radio in a tab.” The last stretch of work turned it into something closer to a real station: a schedule that means something, live cut-ins when the call night is happening elsewhere, archive blocks that don’t just loop the same three bits, and a broadcast path you can leave running overnight — in the app or in whatever player you already live in.

What’s on the dial

The Eastern Time board is built around the shows people actually stay for:

  • Madhouse Radio — long prank-call theater blocks
  • Dragonmere — CORNDOWN-style underground calls
  • Turbo Boost — archive-hour prank material on a real slot

  • KAOS Music / night automation — vault beds when affiliates sleep or you flip Music Only Mode

Home, Schedule, and show pages make the lineup readable: what’s on now, what’s next, and a write-up when you tap in. Listener badge, sleep timer, Signal Strength, and optional AM/FM “radio experience” processing live in Settings — the station bed, not a naked stream widget.

Prankcast.com live integration

Fixed clocks are great until a creator goes live on an odd night. KAOS now watches Prankcast: when a show is actually on the air there, the dial can cut over, show the host’s name and picture, and ride the call night — then drop back to the regular board when it ends. Not into that one? Skip and jump back to whatever was supposed to be scheduled.

That’s the difference between “we link out to Prankcast” and “KAOS is carrying the show so you don’t miss it because you were staring at the wrong tab.”

More archive shows on the way

Turbo Boost proved the archive path: catalog, cycle without burning the same episode forever, join mid-slot when you tune in late. Next we want to widen that shelf — including (among others) KDK Prank Calls, Science With Sloth, Airhead, and more as we clear rights, catalogs, and schedule space. Same idea: appointment hours that feel like shows, not a random IA dump.

Hear it outside the app

The Google Play app and the web player at cbradio.pages.dev/kaosfm are still the full KAOS experience (schedule UI, Prankcast cut-ins, radio chain). But the station itself also leaves Dialer's Apps: we encode a live airchain to Icecast so you can open KAOS in VLC, Winamp, foobar2000, a car head unit, or any other player that eats a stream URL.
